Osbaldwick children

Osbaldwick Children is the organisation that manages the extended services with school. They are co-located on our site and offer pre-school and out of school hour’s provision.

Osbaldwick and Murton Playgroup offers high quality provision in care and education from 2 to 5 year olds prior to starting school.

Wacky After School Club provides quality care and play for 3 to 11 year olds mainly for children from school and playgroup, in the form of a Breakfast Club, After School and Holiday Club. Most holidays are catered for and all parts of the organisation are Ofsted registered and approved.

Early booking is recommended, but we also take ad hoc day and emergency bookings if a place is available. E.g. if your workplace asks you to stay longer or work the following day unplanned, you can ring the Extended Services Manager on 01904 431562 and arrange an emergency place.

Breakfast Club runs from 7.45am to 8.50am and costs £2.70 per session.

From September 2008, parents/carers who wish to use the breakfast Club will need to book in advance to allow suitable staffing arrangements to be made to meet the actual demand.

After School Club runs from 3.20pm to 5.45pm and costs £6.00 per session. There is a charge of £5.00 for every 15 minutes a child is collected late.

Playgroup runs from 8.45am to 11.45pm and 12.15pm to 3.15pm and costs £7.00 for a morning or afternoon session.

Playgroup provides a lunch-club for £3.50 per day to allow full day care. This is undertaken by the Midday Supervisors from school, to allow the children to become familiar with the school building and surroundings.

A Toddler Group is provided on Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm to 2.45pm to allow mums to meet other mums and their children for a social afternoon of play, refreshments, help and advice. This costs £1.60 per child.

A Holiday Club is run throughout holidays (except Christmas) where viable and takes children from 3 – 11 years from the local area, not just school.
